European capitals are increasingly inclined to resolve the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations.
This was reported by the French publication Le Monde, citing sources in diplomatic circles.
Why Europe is leaning towards negotiations
The head of the Foreign Ministry of one of the European countries told Le Monde that the negotiations will take shape sooner or later, because the situation on the front is difficult and Ukraine is exhausted.
He also expressed the opinion that US President Joseph Biden may change course towards a diplomatic settlement by the end of his term.
Le Monde notes that this minister usually takes a tough stance towards Russia.
Another source for the publication stated that Germany, France and Great Britain are beginning to think about ways to resolve the situation, allowing for a Korean scenario.
We are still far from specifics, but many are already starting to think about what will happen next, said Le Monde’s source.
