According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election will not change Washington's attitude toward the situation in Ukraine.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed this opinion in an interview with journalist Marina Kim.
Footage from the interview was shown on the program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on the Russia-1 channel.
What Lavrov said about Trump's victory and the US position on Ukraine
The head of Russian diplomacy expressed the opinion that the US's fundamental attitude towards Ukrainian and European affairs will not change with Trump's coming to power.
Washington will always strive to keep under its control everything that happens in the NATO area and in the NATO area itself, the minister explained.
Lavrov also commented on proposals to freeze the conflict along the front line.
These are the same Minsk agreements in new packaging. Even worse, - said the head of the Russian diplomatic department.
