What Zelensky's office said about negotiations with Russia
An adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine stated that Kyiv understands the inevitability of negotiations with Russia.
We understand that negotiations are inevitable, Leshchenko said.
He stressed that Ukraine must be strong in these negotiations.
According to a representative of Zelensky's office, it is necessary to understand that the changes that have taken place in the United States require Ukraine to be ready for negotiations.
Leshchenko recalled that US President-elect Donald Trump promised to stop the conflict.
Under these conditions, he will look to see who is ready for this, the official noted.
The adviser to the head of Zelensky's office also stated that there will be neither Minsk nor Istanbul.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, named the conditions for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Among them are the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass and Novorossiya, Ukraine’s refusal to join the North Atlantic Alliance, the establishment of a non-aligned and non-nuclear status for Ukraine, the lifting of sanctions and ensuring the rights, freedoms and interests of Russian-speaking citizens in Ukraine.
