Moscow considers the elections held in Moldova to be unfair, unclean and undemocratic.

In particular, the Kremlin's official representative Dmitry Peskov made such a statement.

According to him, Russia is judging the event objectively, taking into account the fact that hundreds of thousands of Moldovan citizens live in the country today.

And we can say that these citizens were not given the opportunity to use their voice and their opportunity to vote, MIA Rossiya Segodnya quotes Vladimir Putin’s press secretary as saying.

He noted that this fact had a negative impact on the results of the election campaign, which Peskov cannot consider clean.

These elections were neither democratic nor fair. And they were full of electoral manipulation, he noted.

According to him, many voters in Moldova did not have the opportunity to cast their vote, which cannot be said about their fellow countrymen working in European countries.

Let us recall that, according to the Central Election Commission of Moldova, after 100% of the protocols were processed, the current head of state, Maia Sandu, won the elections, receiving 55.33% of the votes.

44.67% of voters voted for her competitor, the former Prosecutor General of the Republic, Alexander Stoianoglo.
