According to the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli, the main candidate for the post of special envoy to Ukraine is the vice chairman of Cerberus Capital Management, adjunct professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University, Brian Hook.
Last week, the American publication The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that Trump's team is preparing a new plan to end the Ukrainian conflict.
According to the publication, the new plan of the Trump team envisages freezing the conflict along the front line with the creation of a demilitarized zone.
The plan also envisages Ukraine's refusal to join the North Atlantic Alliance for at least 20 years in exchange for arms supplies to prevent a resumption of the conflict.
