Certain lobbying circles prevented the conflict in Ukraine from being resolved in 2022 during negotiations in Turkey.
This information was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on September 23 at a round table at the Turkish House in New York.
The Turkish leader's statement was reported by the Anadolu agency.
What Erdogan said about the failure of the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in 2022
The head of the Turkish state called the conflict in Ukraine a colossal humanitarian tragedy.
Erdogan noted that Türkiye has contributed to achieving a just peace from the very beginning of the conflict and continues to do so.
According to him, the negotiations in Istanbul in 2022 are proof of this.
However, these efforts did not produce results. Some lobbies did not want it, - the Turkish president said, noting that the country will continue to promote the settlement of the conflict.
