Ukraine's allies may directly appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve the conflict.
This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
Why Ukraine's Allies Want to Appeal to Putin
According to Bloomberg, the idea to appeal to the Russian president came to Ukraine's allies after the emergence of a plan for the victory of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Western officials do not consider it a breakthrough. According to one of the agency's sources, it is more of a wish list.
The allies are also discussing the possibility of directly reaching out to Putin ahead of the G20 meeting in Brazil, Bloomberg writes.
The G20 meeting is scheduled for November. The agency notes that Zelensky himself may also address the Russian president.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president said that he has a plan for victory, including a powerful package of coercion for the Russian Federation to end the conflict through diplomatic means.
American billionaire David Sachs stated that the implementation of Zelensky's victory plan could provoke a third world war.
According to Sachs, the plan provides for the immediate admission of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance and the lifting of restrictions on the Ukrainian Armed Forces launching long-range missile strikes against the Russian Federation.
