The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commented on the achievement by the G7 countries of an agreement on loans for Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion dollars.
Zakharova's comment was published on her Telegram channel.
What Zakharova said about $50 billion in loans for Ukraine
Today, the G7 countries reached an agreement on providing Ukraine with $50 billion in loans.
Loans will be provided from December of this year to December 31, 2027.
The loans will be repaid using frozen Russian assets.
Commenting on this information, Zakharova recalled the recent statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Ukraine would either join the North Atlantic Alliance or acquire nuclear weapons.
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that just a week later, Kyiv backed down.
So that he wouldn't yap about nuclear weapons, they gave him 50 billion. Well, is it a pity? Dollars are not backed by anything anyway. There is paper, and ink too, - the diplomat wrote on Telegram.
