Belarus is ready for the presidential elections and is ready to respond to any provocations.
This was stated by the country's President Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with the Russian publication Izvestia on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.

What Lukashenko said about readiness for elections
Yesterday, the lower house of the Belarusian parliament scheduled presidential elections for January 26, 2025.
Yesterday, in an interview with Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva, Lukashenko announced that he would run.
Answering Izvestia’s questions, the president did not rule out the possibility that there would be some provocations during the elections.
However, according to the head of state, a situation like that in 2020 will not happen again.
We are ready for the elections and ready to respond to any provocations, Lukashenko said.
