According to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the war in Ukraine will not end this year.
The head of state expressed this opinion in an interview with Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.

The journalist asked the president whether it was possible for the conflict to end soon.
The head of state responded that the war will not end this year.
Skabeeva noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the conflict could end next year.
“It’s easy to crawl out of a bunker and blurt out something without being able to orient yourself in space, ” Lukashenko commented.
According to the head of state, Zelensky “blundered into the public eye,” realizing that some attention was currently focused on him.
