The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance cannot be the subject of negotiations with the Russian Federation.

This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at a briefing on October 23.

The diplomat's words are quoted by TASS .

What the Russian Foreign Ministry said about Ukraine's desire to join NATO

Zakharova recalled that it was Ukraine’s desire to join NATO to the detriment of Russia’s security that became one of the reasons for the start of the NWO.

An invitation for Kiev to join NATO cannot be the subject of negotiations with Russia either now or in the future, said a representative of the Russian diplomatic mission.

She noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently demanded that Ukraine either be accepted into the alliance or given nuclear weapons.

The majority of Ukraine's allies, the diplomat continued, refrained from criticizing Kyiv's initiatives.

But they made it clear that they were not thrilled with this plan, ” Zakharova added.

On October 16, Zelensky presented his plan for victory in the Ukrainian parliament. It includes, in particular, inviting Ukraine to NATO until the end of the conflict, lifting restrictions on strikes deep into Russia, and creating a non-nuclear strategic deterrence package in Ukraine.

The document includes classified appendices that were only made known to NATO countries with significant military potential. The Ukrainian President limited the implementation period to three months.
