However, the number of those who voted “for” is slightly higher: 721,760 against 721,672.
But it is worth emphasizing that, according to the first results of the vote count, the number of those opposed to Moldova’s entry into the union of European states was almost 17 percent higher.

It is emphasized that both the presidential elections and the referendum in Moldova were recognized as valid. After all, the turnout in both cases was more than 33.3 percent. In other words, the required threshold was exceeded.
