What Scholz said about the danger of NATO involvement in the conflict in Ukraine

The German Chancellor stated that NATO's position is clear and is to provide maximum support to Ukraine without becoming a party to the conflict.

So that this war does not lead to an even greater catastrophe, noted Scholz.

According to the head of the German government, NATO is fully aware of this responsibility.

On October 17, Berlin updated the list of weapons transferred to Ukraine after almost a month.

It included, in particular, 20 Marder IFVs, one IRIS-T SLS and one IRIS-T SLM air defense system, and 8 Leopard 1A5 tanks.

The shipment includes 4,000 attack drones, 361 Songbird reconnaissance drones, AIM-9L guided missiles, two TRML-4D radars, 42,000 rounds of 40mm ammunition and winter clothing.

Germany ranks second in terms of arms supplies to Ukraine after the United States.

To date, Berlin has allocated funds for military aid to Ukraine and has committed to future spending in the amount of around 28 billion euros.

Germany's 2025 budget for military aid to Ukraine includes 4 billion euros, which is two times less than this year.
