The Kremlin has denied reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin held seven telephone conversations with Donald Trump after he left the US presidency in January 2021.
The corresponding statement was made on October 9 by the press secretary of the head of the Russian state, Dmitry Peskov.

How Peskov Denied Information About Seven Conversations Between Putin and Trump
The American television channel CNN reported on the telephone conversations between Putin and Trump after the latter left the post of US President the day before, citing a new book by journalist Bob Woodward, which will go on sale on October 15.
When asked by RBC whether Putin and Trump had called each other, the Kremlin spokesman answered in the negative.
No, this is not true, said the press secretary of the head of the Russian state.
In a commentary to the American publication The New York Times, Peskov called Woodward’s statements typical disinformation in the context of an election campaign.
In a comment to Bloomberg, a Kremlin spokesman confirmed that Trump sent coronavirus testing equipment to Moscow at the start of the pandemic.
But as for the phone calls, that’s not true, ” Peskov added.
According to Woodward, Putin and Trump could have called each other up to seven times after the latter's term in office expired.
Trump's campaign communications director Steven Chun also denied the report.
None of these made-up stories by Woodward are true, Chun said.
Trump adviser Jason Miller spoke in a similar vein.
US National Intelligence Director Avril Haines, according to Woodward, refused to clarify whether the calls took place or not.
