On October 8, the President of Belarus arrived in Moscow on a working visit. It is reported that Alexander Lukashenko will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS Member States.

It is planned to make a decision on the chairmanship of the Commonwealth in 2025, to consider issues related to the sphere of security and high technologies, as well as trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
During the meeting, the top political leadership of the CIS countries plans to discuss and adopt an Appeal to the peoples of the countries
The Commonwealth and the world community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The issue of the activities of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member Nations in the context of strengthening integration cooperation will be considered.
At the same time, it was reported that the summit will announce the cultural capitals of the CIS, which will hold this title for the next three years.
Among other things, amendments will be adopted to a number of documents in the legal and security spheres.
