The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the main efforts of the Belarusian delegation will be concentrated on promoting the ideas of a multipolar world and regionalism.
Minsk will also draw the attention of the international community to the further consolidation of states advocating for the creation of a more just world order based on mutual respect and consideration of the national interests of all countries.
More than 10 meetings
Separately, the Belarusian delegation will focus on the “illegal nature and destructive consequences of the use of unilateral coercive measures by a number of countries.”
Minsk considers such actions to be pressure on sovereign states in its own interests.
In addition, it is planned to touch upon such topics as food security, historical memory in the context of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, and the preservation of traditional family values.
As part of the General Assembly events, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry is expected to hold over 10 meetings with colleagues from Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the UN leadership, the press service summed up.
