Lukashenko: We have more than ever before to respond to external aggression

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that the country has more than ever before the ability to respond to external aggression.

The head of state made this statement on September 17 at a ceremonial event to mark National Unity Day.

In his speech, Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus has been and remains a supporter of peace.

Large-scale peace initiatives of Belarus, the President continued, are being voiced at international forums and from the rostrum of the United Nations; discussions of the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century have been initiated.

According to the head of state, multipolarity can no longer be avoided.

She is not just knocking on the door, she has already come to us, Lukashenko said.

He expressed confidence that a way out of the global security crisis will be found.

Because our closest allies are with us – many, many countries of our planet, ” the president added.

He stressed that it was not possible and would not be possible to isolate Belarus; the country is increasingly being heard and supported in the international arena.

I am sure that soon the Western elites will also understand that the only way is to negotiate. This is what our people want, - the head of state said.

He noted that Belarusians are a peaceful people who do not want war, and expressed confidence that the day will come when peace will reign in neighboring countries. Belarus, according to the president, is doing everything for this.

Lukashenko clarified that the peacefulness of Belarusians should not be mistaken for weakness.

Don't think that I'm bluffing or exaggerating. No. We have something to respond with like never before, the president emphasized.

The head of state added that Belarusians should not worry about this.

In this regard, be calm, live calmly, do your job, raise children, Lukashenko said.
