We have no doubt that this statement has reached its addressees, said the press secretary of the head of the Russian state.

Yesterday Putin stated that the West's decision to allow Kyiv to strike deep into Russia with Western weapons would mean direct participation of the North Atlantic Alliance countries in the conflict in Ukraine and would significantly change its nature.

According to the Russian president, bearing in mind the change in the very essence of the conflict, Moscow will make appropriate decisions based on the threats that will be created for it.

The White House did not comment on Putin's statement about NATO's role in the conflict in Ukraine.

The ITV channel, citing the head of the British government, Keir Starmer, reported that the US and Britain do not plan to allow Kyiv to strike deep into Russia.

On September 11, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed with Kiev the use of Western long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia and said that he would report the results of the talks to US President Joseph Biden.

During negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky handed over to the US Secretary of State a plan for using long-range weapons to strike Russia.
