How the Kremlin urged Harris and Trump to leave Putin's name alone

Commenting on the recent debates between Harris and Trump, Peskov stated that the Kremlin is very, very unhappy with the use of Putin's name as an instrument of domestic political struggle in the United States.

We hope that they will leave our president’s name alone, ” added the press secretary of the Russian head of state.

The Kremlin representative noted that the United States maintains a negative attitude towards the Russian Federation regardless of the party of candidates for the post of head of state.

Otherwise, this is probably all the concern of American voters, Peskov summed up.

Harris and Trump's televised debate, hosted by ABC News, took place in Philadelphia yesterday. During the debate, both candidates repeatedly mentioned Russia and Putin.

According to a CNN poll, 44% of registered voters who watched the debate supported Harris, while 40% supported Trump.

The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5. Incumbent President Joseph Biden was expected to be the Democratic Party nominee, but after failing to win the June debate with Trump, who later became the Republican nominee, he dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris. In August, she was confirmed as the Democratic Party nominee.
