Cats (in most cases) are able to find their litter box in the house without much difficulty.
Their animal instinct helps them with this. The whole point is that cat excrement contains pheromones - they indicate the owner to whom the excrement belongs.
In large groups of wild cats, only the leading individual has the right to mark his territory. The others are forced to hide their scent.
Dominant animals usually do not bury their excrement, but others do so without much prompting.
Lone cats also bury their “waste” so that their enemies cannot find them by smell.
What was this information needed for?
The whole point is that the role of the dominant cat in the apartment is played by a person.
This means that pets will always bury "piles" with one exception: if there are several cats in the house, the more dominant individual may leave its excrement in plain sight.
