Causes of mustache loss

2. Another reason for whisker loss is fungi and parasites. They weaken the animal's body, which can lead to loss or brittleness of whiskers, and lice eat cats' whiskers.
3. Dry indoor air. The problem becomes especially relevant when the heating is turned on in apartments.
4. Cats' whiskers can break during fights between pets, especially if there are same-sex animals in the house.
5. Be sure to pay attention to your pet's nutrition: an imbalance leads to a weakening of the immune system, which is why the cat may lose its whiskers.
6. It is worth looking for the cause in water procedures: perhaps you chose the wrong bathing product and now it causes dry skin and contributes to brittle moustache.
7. Sometimes whiskers fall out due to hormonal imbalances. When the thyroid gland of an animal does not function properly, this can cause hair breakage.
8. Finally, a similar phenomenon can be caused by breed characteristics. For example, hairless cats lose their whiskers more abundantly than furry pets.
