A week before the exhibition, you must bathe your pet.
During the “bath procedures”, be sure to use balm – with it, the coat will look much better.
But you should comb your pet immediately before the event. During this grooming procedure, you will have to remove all tangles - their presence in an exhibition animal is unacceptable.
If you rush and do this too early, there is a high chance that the wool will felt again.
Another procedure that is carried out right before the event is ear cleaning. The most convenient way to remove wax from the auricle is with a cotton pad soaked in saline solution.
If you use cotton swabs, be careful not to insert them too deep into your ear canal.
Of course, a cat that is going to participate in a show should not have fleas or dirt on its fur. Not only the ears, but also the eyes, nose and area under the tail should also be clean, and the tips of the nails should be trimmed and transparent.
Before the event, don’t forget to brush your pet’s teeth, especially if they have yellow plaque on them.
