If a dog sneezes 1-2 times during a walk, the owner should not worry.
But if sneezing and snorting have become regular, and the animal itself experiences obvious discomfort, it is worth figuring out what is causing this “phenomenon”.
Based on what exactly caused the problem, it is worth making a decision about the need and amount of help for a sneezing pet.
Sometimes you can do without a doctor's intervention - if, for example, the dog sneezed because of small particles that got into the nasal cavity. In this case, the dust will leave the dog's nose itself along with the air flow thanks to the protective mechanism.
A new perfume from the owner or the animal's interest in a flower that has blossomed outside can cause active sneezing and snorting.
But sometimes a veterinarian's help is simply necessary. To determine whether it is worth going to an animal clinic, take a closer look at whether your pet has the following symptoms.
1. The dog's nose is bleeding.
2. The animal’s body temperature is elevated (decreased).
3. Your pet refuses to eat.
4. The dog has a sharp decrease in body weight.
5. The dog's eyes are red and tears are flowing from them.
6. The pet has diarrhea and vomiting.
7. The animal experiences apathy and severe weakness.
There are quite a few diseases that are accompanied by irritation of the mucous membrane, and each of them requires its own treatment plan.
Earlier we told you what to do if the owner doesn’t like the dog’s name recorded in the pedigree.
