The cat's genitourinary system is capable of producing extremely persistent odors - getting rid of them is not just difficult, but extremely difficult.

If your pet has “left its mark” on your bed, you will firstly have to remove the stain, and secondly, and no less importantly, get rid of the smell as quickly as possible to avoid repeated provocations.

Of course, you can use special products from a pet store - they are safe for animals, but at the same time they emit a repulsive odor, thereby protecting your bed from subsequent "attempts".

If you don’t have such a remedy at your disposal, try to deal with the problem using folk remedies, for example, vinegar.

Soak a soft cloth in a 9% solution and treat the dirty area, then rinse with water. The mattress will acquire a slight vinegar smell, which will scare away the animal.

Hydrogen peroxide will help remove old and fresh stains, as well as animal odor and marks.

Mix half a glass of hydrogen peroxide with one glass of water, apply to the stain and rinse with water. Put the mattress in the sun to dry completely.

Another folk remedy is alcohol or vodka. They disinfect the surface and help wean a cat or dog from leaving marks.

Treat the stain with alcohol or vodka and let dry.
