Spitz owners often discover one unpleasant habit in their pets. It consists of barking incessantly on the street at absolutely everything and everyone.

To deal with the problem, try the following tips.

Don't shout

Spitz gets used to any behavior of its owner over time. If you raise your voice at it over and over again, it will soon stop paying attention to the shouting. Therefore, resort to this method only in exceptional cases.

Train

Make sure that the dog knows the commands "Come", "Lie down", "No". In addition, your task is to develop in the animal the feeling that your authority is indisputable.

Tactile contact

In case of unwanted behavior, lean closer to the animal and touch its ears - do not press too hard, use this gesture as a demonstration of the steadfastness of your position. You cannot stroke or say sweet words at this moment - this is allowed only when the pet clearly understands the command to stop barking.

Use sound effects

Hissing or making a loud clap will help redirect the dog's attention, but, as with yelling, it is possible that after a while the Spitz will stop responding.

Increase the duration of your walk

After 2 hours outside, dogs' aggressiveness usually decreases, while their emotional state, on the contrary, improves, and the desire to bark at everything disappears.
