Cats are independent and curious creatures who love to explore the world around them. They are always ready to go in search of adventure.

Therefore, in order to satisfy a cat's desire to learn new things, there are other reasons to give the animal the opportunity to move freely around the apartment.

In this article, we will look at the main ones and understand why it is better not to close interior doors in a house where a cat lives.

Freedom of movement

The already mentioned reason, however, should be put first - if the doors are open, your pet will be able to move around the house without problems and will not have to ask you to open the door to this or that room.

Safety

A cat accidentally locked in a room is unlikely to be able to get out on its own. Among the possible negative consequences for the animal are hunger, dehydration and stress.

Control

When all the doors are open, the pet owner can easily monitor the movements of his pet and will always know where he is and what he is doing.

Firstly, in this case, a person will quickly come to the aid of a cat in trouble, for example, stuck in a gap between a wall and furniture. And secondly, the pet, knowing that it is constantly being watched, most likely will not harm things - the same furniture, wallpaper, etc.
