In the process of raising dogs in urban conditions, many owners face difficulties.
For example, a pet may be very afraid of New Year's fireworks, car horns, and other loud sounds.
Sometimes there are situations when one of these sounds can cause a strong fright and the dog simply runs away.
It is believed that there are two main reasons why a dog behaves in this way.
Why is a dog afraid of loud sounds
There are 2 reasons.
- Congenital. Some individuals may have congenital hearing impairments, which cause pain.
- This phenomenon can be called hyperacusis. In this case, even a high-pitched child's cry can become an irritant.
- Acquired. Perhaps the dog has experienced events in its life that it perceived as catastrophic. The reaction to a sharp sound can become ingrained at the instinct level.
