Don't Feed This to Cats: Food Pets Love Is Off-limits

Probably everyone understands that cats are not able to realize what food is good for their health and what is not, especially if the products smell very attractive.

At the same time, as ADVICE.NEWS reports, the cat's body often cannot naturally digest some products.

So, even if your cat asks you for the foods listed below, you should not feed them to her!

Onion and garlic

Onions and garlic, raw, cooked, or powdered, contain compounds that can damage a cat's red blood cells, leading to anemia.

Symptoms may include weakness, lethargy, and pale gums.

Grapes and raisins

Grapes and raisins can be very toxic to cats and can potentially cause kidney failure.

Even small amounts can be harmful, causing symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, and decreased urine output.

Dairy products

While cats may enjoy milk, cheese, and other dairy products, many cats are lactose intolerant.

They lack the enzyme needed to break down lactose, the sugar found in milk.

Consuming dairy products may cause digestive upset, including diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach discomfort.

Caffeine

Drinks containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, and even some sodas, should be kept away from cats.

Caffeine can stimulate the nervous system and cause symptoms such as anxiety, rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat, tremors, and in severe cases, even seizures.

Bones

Although cats are carnivores and love to chew bones, it is best not to give them bones from birds, fish, or other animals.

Bones can easily break and cause choking, injury to the mouth or throat, or blockage of the digestive tract.
