This does not mean that the animal is teasing you like a child, sticking out its tongue. No, such a phenomenon is preceded by the following reasons.
1. The cat got distracted
It also happens that a cat was tidying itself up, licking its fur with its tongue, but suddenly got distracted, for example, got scared of something, and froze with its mouth open.
2. The animal relaxed
