Some cat owners may be outraged: what do you need, they don’t need to be taught to play with their own pet.
However, we would like to remind you that playing with your pet should be done according to certain rules, the main one being: “The game should be safe.”
A laser pointer, which is often used when playing with a cat, does not meet this requirement at all.
Let us explain why.
The cat gets the opportunity to release its accumulated energy (which is, in fact, the whole point of the game) when it catches its “prey” and begins to bite, scratch and tear it with its claws.
Now answer the question: is it possible to do all this when you play with a laser pointer? The answer is obvious, and it is negative.
Thus, the excitement of the game is present, but the release and realization of this potential never occurs.
As a result, the cat becomes frustrated and aggressive, and even the owner may become the target. If the animal has a passive character, it is quite likely that it will lose all motivation to play.
