Clothes for dogs are not a tribute to fashion or amusement of the owners. This is how they show their care for their pet.
But in addition to choosing the right jumpsuit, you need to know at what temperature your pet should be dressed before going for a walk.
Experts have explained which dogs and in what conditions need to be insulated.
Small and without undercoat
Decorative dogs, short-haired dogs and breeds that do not have an undercoat are sensitive to low temperatures.
For them, 5 degrees below zero is already a critical mark and they need to be walked dressed and shod.
At 15 degrees below zero, these dogs will start to shiver while walking and in clothes.
With short legs
Also, don't forget to dress your dachshund, corgi, basset hound, Pekingese and other pets that, due to their physical structure, are forced to move around buried deep in the snow.
Dogs with thick and long hair
If a dog has thick, long fur or a warm undercoat, they don't need clothes.
But even in this case, it is not recommended to take long walks at temperatures below 20 degrees below zero.
