It's no secret that many cats have an unhealthy attraction to houseplants.

If you think that such behavior can be ignored, you are very much mistaken - some (and, it should be noted, a significant part) of houseplants are toxic.

The greatest danger to cats comes from members of the Liliaceae family, but other plants are not far behind.

This means that due to such "close contact" the pet is at risk of "earning" poisoning (at least) with the Sword of Damocles. Unfortunately, fatal cases are not uncommon.

Moreover, sometimes it is not only the direct process of “tasting” that is dangerous, but even drinking water from a saucer under a pot or playing with the soil from a flowerpot.

The most logical, simple and at the same time effective method of prevention is to refuse to keep poisonous “green pets” in the house.

If you are not ready to take this step yet, consider placing the flowers in an area where the animal cannot reach them.

In addition, try offering your cat wheat or oats specially sprouted for him - by getting access to fresh and juicy green grass, Barsiks and Marquises stop attacking indoor flowers.
