For example, Marc Bekoff, a professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology, believes that cats can understand the difference between illness and something unknown and frightening.
That is, it is not worth saying that cats are familiar with the concept of death. But some kind of bad feeling definitely appears in animals.
In this regard, the scientist refers to the more developed sense of smell, vision and hearing of cats, compared to humans, as well as to a sixth sense or other “secret power”.
This is why the scientist recommends listening and paying attention to the signals that animals give.
After all, in addition to external factors, according to Bekoff, cats can receive information of a different nature.
