Depriving a parrot of walks, leaving it locked in a cage 24/7, would be blasphemous towards the bird.
But simply opening the door is not enough: before releasing the parrot “to freedom”, you need to carefully prepare the room.
Be sure to close the doors to limit the bird's movements to one room.
Don't forget to cover the windows - birds do not recognize glass as an obstacle and can get hurt if they crash into a transparent obstacle.
The same, by the way, should be done with mirrors, if there are any in the room.
In addition, limit access to gaps between furniture.
It is also worth removing all open containers of water from the room, or at least limiting access to them - first of all, this rule applies to the aquarium.
Also make sure that there are no sharp objects in the room that your pet could hurt itself on, and no other pets.
