Often dog owners are forced to leave their pets alone in the apartment.
Many four-legged friends are accustomed to this scenario and behave calmly.
But there are dogs that react emotionally to the fact that their owner has “abandoned” them.
Pets start barking, howling and whining loudly. The neighbors clearly don't like it.
In order not to spoil relations with other residents of the house and not to subject your four-legged friend to stress, you need to accustom your pet to loneliness. And doing this is not as difficult as it seems.
What should the owner do?
It is necessary to ensure that the dog understands that the owner will leave the house very often.
It is necessary to conduct several "training sessions". Leave the apartment and start listening carefully. The dog started barking? Do not come back under any circumstances!
Wait until the dog stops making loud noises. Once there is silence, return to the apartment.
Sooner or later the animal will understand that loneliness can end when there is no barking.
When you return home, be sure to give your pet something tasty: let him perceive this as a reward for good behavior.
But it is definitely not worth fighting barking by resorting to physical punishment or using special collars.
