There are at least two reasons why a dog needs clothes: firstly, the pet is reliably protected from wind and cold, and secondly, in a jacket or raincoat the dog looks even more adorable.
But what should you do if your four-legged friend doesn’t agree to try on a fashionable look?
In this case, you should use the advice we have prepared for you.
1. Make sure your clothes are comfortable.
If the overalls are too tight on the dog's body or it is uncomfortable for it to walk in, don't expect the dog to happily stick its paws into the holes intended for them. That is why you shouldn't buy clothes for your pet without trying them on first.
2. Start potty training early.
The sooner you start putting the suit on your dog, the easier the "adaptation" period will be. Of course, you can also train an adult dog, but you will need much more time, patience and effort.
3. Give your pet time.
Try to start training with small items of clothing, such as a tie, bandana or T-shirt. To begin, let the dog walk around in the new item for a few minutes. Gradually, you can increase this time, and then move on to larger items.
4. First at home.
Don't rush to take your dressed-up dog out for a walk - let it walk in an unfamiliar form within its own home. This is necessary in order to reduce the animal's stress level.
5. Call on patience to help you .
Don't expect everything to work out right away - be patient and repeat unsuccessful attempts over and over again. Over time, the undertaking will certainly turn out to be a success.
