While a dog loves all family members unconditionally, cats have their favorites.
And it's not even about who feeds the pet and how much or spends time with it. There is an opinion that male and female cats love someone more. Here is the answer to this question from a scientific point of view.
Research
It turns out that Hungarian scientists were the first to think about this question in 2018.
As part of the research, a survey was conducted among 157 owners of cats of both sexes. The results of this work were published in the journal Applied Animal Behaviour Science.
Men or women
Scientists have found that owners are more responsible in caring for their pets, choosing a place to rest, feeding them, and in matters of leisure, health, and even friends.
As a result, it was concluded that male and female cats are more sincere in their relationships with women.
Women also turned out to be more sensitive to tactile contact, more often stroking, scratching and picking up pets, showing tenderness and care.
As for men, they are clearly lagging behind in all this, and when cats start to get depressed, and this happens, men can ruin their pets' mood even more.
Conclusion
In general, scientists are not rushing to conclusions, and all because the behavior of a cat is difficult to predict. In addition, it was possible to find out that cats choose a man as their favorite and owner.
According to experts, this is due to the owner’s ability to understand the pet, observe it and study the subtleties of its character.
