Dogs are believed to be loyal to one owner throughout their lives. Are cats capable of such devotion?
How will cats behave if, due to circumstances, they have to part with their owner for a while? Will they then remember the one who has done them a favor?
Here are some situations that can separate a pet from its owner and possible scenarios.
1. The cat left on its own
If a cat stubbornly tries to leave the house or apartment and one day succeeds, then it is quite likely that the animal will remember both the owner and the way home.
In such impulses, the pet is driven by instincts, which means that the memory of a warm apartment and a bowl of food will do its job.
2. Change of residence
It also happens that one of the owners moves to another house, and the cat or kitten living with the second owner at the old address, after becoming homeless, finds its former owner.
3. Communication means
It also happens that cats separated from their owners recognize their relatives during video communication and even start to “butt” the screen of a smartphone or computer.
All this suggests that cats remember their owners, but only if their relationship was at the highest level.
