There are many different scents that people like.
However, not all of these smells are perceived normally by cats.
Pets can't stand one bright scent that humans most likely have a positive attitude towards.
If there are cats in the apartment, then the residents must take this point into account.
What smell are we talking about?
Fluffy creatures don't like the smell of citrus fruits.
We are talking about oranges, lemons, tangerines, grapefruits, limes and pomelos.
This attitude of cats towards the above-mentioned delicacies is quite understandable: such fruits contain compounds that are dangerous for our four-legged friends.
What a pet owner should know
A person should not start peeling oranges, tangerines and other citrus fruits if there is a cat nearby: the pet will clearly not like this.
If the owner of the animal wants to eat fruit, it is better to move to another room.
And even more so, you shouldn’t let your cat try the pulp of citrus fruits.
Now it is worth mentioning the case when orange or lemon juice will be useful. If you pour drops of either of these drinks on the sofa, the pet will not approach the furniture and spoil it.
