Why does a cat shit in its owner's bed: 5 reasons for this

A cat or a kitten will not dare to relieve themselves in the owner's bed without a good reason.

If the pet is young, such behavior can be explained by the lack of life experience. Mature individuals clearly express protest. Let's try to understand the reasons.

It's hard to imagine what a cat is thinking when it goes to the master bedroom instead of the toilet. But there are some explanations.

1. Check the tray

In general, you can blame the psyche or ailments that bother your pet. But before making an appointment with a vet, you should try changing the litter box or at least cleaning it more often.

It could be because of the design. It could be a tall and narrow pot. It could be because the filler is not suitable.

2. Stress

Finding a puddle in the bed will cause stress for both the owner and the cat. What is this connected with? For a cat, it may be moving to a new place of residence or the appearance of children in the apartment or other pets.

Animals, just like people, love silence and a certain order. Violation of this order will become a reason for a furious protest.

3. Revenge

Perhaps the pet didn't like that someone raised their voice at it or it got hit with a slipper for waking up its owner before the alarm or for playing pranks all night. Otherwise, they are harmless creatures.

4. Diseases

It is worth checking the functioning of the urinary system. Mostly male cats suffer, but female cats too. Only a specialist can make a diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

5. Old age

There is nothing left to do here except humility. But you can also try using moisture-absorbing diapers instead of a tray.
