Hot summer is just around the corner, which means that not only people, but also our smaller brothers will soon suffer from the unbearable heat.
You can protect your cat from the heat if you follow these guidelines.
1. Try not to let the house get too hot. A split system or thick roller blinds or curtains will help you with this.
2. Open windows for ventilation early in the morning and late in the evening, keeping them closed during rush hour.
3. Make sure your pet always has access to clean, cool water.
4. You shouldn’t lock your cat in small spaces, such as a loggia or a car – 2-3 minutes is enough for the animal to feel unwell.
5. Do not involve your purring cat in active games if the room is hot - let him rest quietly, postponing running and fun for later.
6. If you need to leave the house with your cat, try to do it, again, early in the morning – before 8 am or in the evening – after 8 am.
