Why do cats perceive their owner's kiss as an insult?

Cats always look so cute, they are so gentle, fluffy and pretty.

An incredibly beautiful face and expressive eyes attract and create a desire to caress and hug your pet.

Many owners are not averse to kissing their furry friends a couple of times as a sign of adoration and affection.

Some are ready to kiss their pets from head to toe, but not everyone likes such tenderness, and cats are no exception.

You may notice that sometimes cats poke their noses into their owner's face. This happens because the cat is trying to figure out what delicious thing you ate and why you didn't share it with him.

Animals can check what their owners smell like, whether they have stopped smelling like a cat or whether it is time to mark them with their own individual scent.

If you want to kiss your tender furry pet and bring your big face close to its little muzzle, this may scare the animal.

And if you also start smacking your lips, some animals may decide that you are sorting things out with them.

Cats may perceive kisses and hugs as something negative.

Eventually, your pet will understand that your kisses and hugs do not pose any threat, and can tolerate your “hugs,” but will wait until you leave him alone.
