Many cat owners complain that their pets scatter food.
They don't just accidentally drop a couple of pieces outside the bowl, but deliberately turn their plate over and demonstratively eat from the floor. By the way, sometimes the same fate awaits a water bowl filled with water.
If you notice the same behavior in your pet, know that the whiskers are to blame.
As is known, cat whiskers are highly sensitive.
If they come into contact with the edges of the bowl, the animal begins to experience serious discomfort.
That is why (and not at all because of a capricious nature or tasteless food, as many cat owners mistakenly believe) they have to turn over dishes and eat breakfast or dinner right from the floor.
A large flat bowl may be the solution to the problem.
If this doesn't help, try placing a rubber mat under your pet's plate.
