Labrador
The Labrador is the number one dog for the family. Labradors are friendly, patient and extremely intelligent.

This dog will walk around the park, play, fetch a ball and jump over hurdles for hours without showing any signs of fatigue. It only needs half an hour to lie down and rush off to adventure with renewed vigor.
However, it should be remembered that these are very smart and cunning dogs. The external resemblance to a fox, especially red individuals, should constantly remind the owner of this quality of the breed. If you do not show strictness in education, the Sheltie can manipulate the whole family, including adults.
German shepherd
The German Shepherd can be called a strict dog. It should not be taken into a family with small children. Firstly, it can start to educate them using light bites. Secondly, it will be very vigilant in guarding its family members.
For example, from an uncle who decided to play tag with his nephew in honor of a rare meeting. Or from other children, if your child screams during the game. The dog will consider this a threat. If you have many children, then conflicts are inevitable. And a German Shepherd can stop a fight using a growl and bites.
But a German Shepherd will fit perfectly into a family with teenagers. It will become a good companion, especially if the whole family leads an active lifestyle. For example, enjoys hiking, car trips, skiing.
