Most people use only two index fingers when typing on a keyboard, which is why their typing speed does not exceed 40 words per minute.
If you spend just a little time on learning and use all ten fingers – it’s enough to practice for 10 minutes a day for a month – the speed increases to 80-100 words.
Here's what it takes to learn to touch type quickly with all your fingers.
1. First, get motivated – think about how this typing technique will help you in life. Fast typing will make you more productive and healthier, because while working on the computer you will not be distracted by the keyboard and thus take care of the health of your neck and hands.
2. The next step is preparation. Take a position at your desk with your feet on the floor and your arms bent at the elbows at a right angle. Make sure the monitor is at eye level.
3. Do everything to avoid looking at the keyboard - tape the keys, buy a keyboard without a Russian layout or without letters at all, or come up with another clever trick.
4. Choose the finger pattern that suits you best (possible options can be found on the Internet) and stick to it until the end of the training.
5. Practice regularly, using any convenient exercise machine (you can also find it online).
6. If you are bored with practice, play and compete in typing speed with experienced touch tappers.
