Actions speak louder than words. But that doesn't mean you can't watch your speech.
It is enough to utter one careless phrase - and the relationship with the interlocutor will be ruined.
There are several dangerous remarks that can cause a person to lose respect from family, friends, colleagues, boss and subordinates.
"I don't owe anyone anything"
The person who said this phrase is sure of the following: he showed pride and independence.
But the interlocutor will probably come to a different conclusion: "He won't help me, even if I ask him to. There is no reason to respect this person."
"That's his problem."
Yes, you don't have to solve other people's problems. But don't mention it.
The phrase “It’s his problem” is often perceived by others as a demonstration of indifference or mockery.
"It's not my fault"
You shouldn't say this phrase if your guilt is obvious.
It's better to admit your mistake right away and start fixing it. Otherwise, people will stop respecting you.
"Everyone does it. Why can't I?"
Don't justify your bad actions like that.
Those around you will certainly react negatively to such a statement.
"I look good compared to him."
Such attempts to assert oneself make a person pitiful in the eyes of others.
