What Russian words do foreigners not understand?

As sport24.ru reports, the Russian language drives foreigners crazy because of enantiosemy (intra-word antonymy, counteronymy) – the ability of a word to denote concepts that are opposite in meaning.

There are many such words in Russian. Here are some examples.

To quit is to start something and to finish it (to start a relationship, to quit drinking).

To cure means to both cure and worsen the patient’s condition due to the treatment.
