Scientists have calculated that the chance of being born on February 29 falls to one in one and a half thousand people.
How to treat such a whim of fate - as a unique opportunity or perceive it as a slap in the face from higher powers - is a personal matter for everyone.
The main thing here is to figure out how to celebrate your birthday between years that are considered leap years.
In fact, only the uninitiated think that it is so simple to choose a day on which your birthday does not fall.
When to Celebrate a Leap Birthday
This year the issue will be resolved somehow by itself. You can safely invite guests only on rare occasions – February 29th will appear on the calendar again only in 2028.
For the next three years, you can arm yourself with the following scheme.
1. Anyone born on February 29 before six in the morning is advised to celebrate on February 28, regardless of prejudice.
2. Those born in the second half of the day should wait until the first of March.
3. Those born between six in the morning and noon are advised the following schedule:
- the first two years after a leap year, celebrate two birthdays on February 28;
- for the third year, move the celebrations to March 1st.
4. For those born between noon and six o'clock in the evening, the opposite is true:
- the first year is celebrated on February 28,
- Every second and third birthday after a leap year is celebrated on March 1st.
At the same time, one can boast of the knowledge that the developer of the theory was the German philosopher Georg Christoph Lichtenberg.
