A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday evening, December 3, in the Belarusian capital.
In the city centre, a Volkswagen hit a young tram passenger – at that moment the guy was leaving the public transport.
The press service of the Minsk State Traffic Inspectorate reported on the incident, which took place at about 17:16, on its official Telegram channel.

According to the data released by the department, at the specified time the named passenger car was driving along Ya. Kolas Street.
Near house No. 65, a foreign car driver (23 years old) ran over a 22-year-old guy who was getting off a tram.
The injured young man was taken to one of the city hospitals.
Currently, law enforcement officers are investigating what caused the accident and are also establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate Department of the Sovietsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk were working at the scene of the accident.
In connection with this incident, the State Traffic Inspectorate once again called on all road users to exercise maximum care and caution on the roads.
