The famous Dreamland amusement park is being demolished in the Belarusian capital.
The very same one where Minsk residents and city guests have been delighted by numerous attractions and water slides since 2003, when it began operating.
As previously reported by the media, several years ago the company that owned the park experienced financial difficulties.
In January of this year, the Minsk Economic Court opened proceedings on the company’s bankruptcy case.
It is likely that the site of Dreamland will be turned into the People's Unity Park - the concept for its layout was put up for public discussion in March 2023.
Quite recently, in September 2024, the President of Belarus was shown the project of the National Historical Museum.
They want to build it in the Central District of Minsk – in the location between Pobediteley Avenue, Orlovskaya Street and the Svisloch River.
According to plans, a new park may appear there.

Minsk is the capital and largest city of Belarus, the administrative center of the Minsk region and Minsk district, of which it is not a part, since it is an independent administrative-territorial unit with a special (capital) status.
